Where Childhood Is Stitched With Wonder: Why We Changed Our Tagline

Christen Young

Those of you who follow me on social media might have noticed that I have been slowly changing over to a new tagline. The logo itself is still the same one you know and love, but the words underneath it have changed. For a while, Young World by Ruth was known by the line "Take the Stress Out of Kids' Dress." It was catchy, it rhymed, and it did its job for a time. But lately, it has stopped feeling like us. So I sat with it, thought it through properly, and decided it was time for something that actually tells our story: Where Childhood Is Stitched With Wonder.

Why the Old Tagline No Longer Fits

"Take the Stress Out of" was practical. It spoke to a real problem: the scramble of dressing little ones, the search for something that fits well and looks good without the fuss. And that is still true of what we make. But the more Young World grew, the more I realised that tagline was only telling half the story. It talked about convenience. It did not talk about heart.

Every piece that comes out of my studio starts as an idea, then a sketch, then hours of cutting and stitching by hand. There is care in every seam. There is imagination in every print choice and every little detail: the extra button, the delicate trim, the colours chosen to make a child feel like they stepped out of a storybook. None of that comes through in a tagline about stress. It was time for the words on our logo to match the spirit behind the workbench.

Where the New Tagline Came From

Sewing has never been just a skill for me. It has been a way of making sense of things, of creating something gentle and good in a world that does not always feel that way. That personal thread, the reason I first picked up a needle and thread and never really put it down, is woven into everything Young World makes. It felt important that our brand said that out loud.

"Where Childhood Is Stitched With Wonder" does exactly that. It is not just about clothes. It is about the feeling I want every parent and every child to have when they open a Young World box. Wonder is the whole point. Childhood should feel like magic, even in something as small as a romper or a matching bucket hat, and I wanted our tagline to hold on to that feeling rather than rush past it.

What This Means Going Forward

This is not a rebrand in the dramatic sense. Our logo is staying exactly as it is, and you will still find the same handmade pieces, the same attention to detail, and the same "Keep Wondering!" spirit that has been part of Young World since the very beginning. What is changing is simply the wording underneath it, so that it finally matches our work. As the new tagline rolls out across the shop, our socials, and our packaging over the coming weeks, I hope it feels less like a change and more like a homecoming, like we have finally found the right words for what we have been doing all along.

Thank you for growing with us and for noticing the little things, even a logo update. It means more than you know.

Keep Wondering,
–Ruth
